GA4 & tracking. Get the measurement right before you trust the report.
Events, conversions, consent and attribution, configured deliberately. Most analytics problems are configuration problems.
A confident number that is wrong is worse than no number
GA4 is not a difficult tool so much as an easy one to configure badly. Because it collects something the moment you install it, it produces confident-looking numbers long before anyone has decided what should be counted.
The failures we find most often are dull and expensive: conversions firing on page load rather than on the action, internal and agency traffic never filtered out, cross-domain journeys broken so one visit becomes two, and consent configured so strictly that a third of sessions silently disappear.
We fix the collection layer first, document it, then build the reporting on top. It is unglamorous work and every decision you make afterwards depends on it.
How we actually do it
Plan it, build it, validate it.
- 01 · Write the measurement plan first
- Every event, parameter and conversion defined in plain language before anything is implemented, what it means, when it fires, who cares about it. This document is what stops the account drifting later.
- 02 · Implement cleanly, server-side where it earns it
- Tag Manager configured deliberately rather than accumulated. Server-side tagging where data quality or ad-blocking genuinely justifies the extra infrastructure, not by default.
- 03 · Handle consent without destroying the data
- Consent Mode configured so you stay compliant and still keep modelled data, rather than the common setup that quietly deletes a large share of your traffic.
- 04 · Validate against reality
- We test real journeys on real devices and reconcile against the back end. If GA4 says forty leads and the CRM says thirty-one, we find out why before anyone reports either number.
What you get
Deliverables, not adjectives.
- A documented measurement plan covering every event and conversion
- GA4 and Tag Manager rebuilt to that plan, with internal traffic excluded
- Server-side tagging where it is genuinely justified
- Consent Mode configured for compliance without needless data loss
- Validation against your CRM or back end, with discrepancies explained
Questions, answered straight
No fluff, as promised.
How do we know our current setup is wrong?
The usual tell is that GA4 and your CRM disagree and nobody can explain the gap. A short audit finds it quickly, misfiring conversions and unfiltered internal traffic account for most cases.
Do we need server-side tagging?
Often not. It adds cost and maintenance, and it is worth it when ad-blocking or data quality is genuinely hurting decisions. We will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on.
Can you fix tracking without rebuilding the site?
Yes, in almost every case. Tracking lives in the tag layer, so we can fix it independently of the platform. If we built your site too, the fix is simply faster.
