Local SEO. Found in the place where you actually trade.
Profiles, proximity, reviews and location pages that are genuinely different from each other. Local is its own ranking system.
The map pack is a different competition
Local search runs on signals classic SEO largely ignores: proximity to the searcher, the completeness and consistency of your business profile, review velocity, and whether your location pages are real pages or the same paragraph with the town name swapped.
That last one matters more every year. Duplicated location pages with a find-and-replaced place name are the most common local SEO mistake we see, and search engines have been discounting them for a long time.
For multi-location businesses the difficulty is architectural rather than editorial: you need a system that produces genuinely distinct, genuinely useful pages per location without hand-writing every one. That is where local overlaps with programmatic content.
How we actually do it
Proximity, prominence, relevance.
- 01 · Fix the profile before the website
- Google Business Profile is usually the highest-leverage thing on the list and the most neglected: categories, services, attributes, hours, photos and posts. It often moves the map pack faster than anything on your own domain.
- 02 · Make location pages worth visiting
- Each location gets content only that location could justify, the team, the service area, local proof, directions, genuine specifics. If a page would still make sense with a different town name on it, it is not a location page.
- 03 · Consistency and citations
- Name, address and phone consistent everywhere they appear, with the directory citations that matter in your market rather than a bulk submission to two hundred that do not.
- 04 · Reviews as a system, not a favour
- A repeatable way to ask, respond and learn from reviews. Review volume and recency are ranking factors in local, and they are also the thing a human reads before they call.
What you get
Deliverables, not adjectives.
- Google Business Profile audit and optimisation, per location
- A location page template and architecture that scales without duplicating
- Citation audit and cleanup across the directories that matter in your market
- A review generation and response process your team can actually run
- Local rank tracking by location, so you can see proximity effects rather than a national average
Questions, answered straight
No fluff, as promised.
We have twenty locations. Do we need twenty pages?
Yes, and they need to be genuinely different. We build a system and a template so each page carries real local substance without your team writing twenty essays from scratch.
Does local SEO matter if we sell nationally?
If you have physical premises or a defined service area, yes, those queries carry very high intent. If you have neither, your effort is better spent on topical authority.
How quickly does the map pack respond?
Profile work can move within days to weeks, which makes it unusually fast for SEO. Competitive urban markets take longer and depend heavily on review velocity and proximity.
