Role Overview

We’re looking for a Tech Lead who can replace the CEO in day-to-day technical decision-making.

This is not a pure coding role.

This is a leadership role for someone who understands business problems, translates them into scalable technical solutions, and leads a team to execute with clarity, speed, and quality.

You will work directly with leadership, own technical direction across projects, and play a key role in how we evolve as an AI-first digital agency.

What You’ll Own

1. Technical Leadership

  • Take full ownership of technical decisions across all projects
  • Define architecture, stack decisions, and best practices
  • Ensure we build scalable, maintainable, high-performance systems
  • Challenge poor solutions and push for better outcomes

2. Project Planning & Delivery

  • Translate business goals into clear technical plans
  • Work with PMs and clients to define scope, timelines, and priorities
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and at high quality
  • Identify risks early and solve them proactively

3. Client Communication

  • Join client calls as the technical lead
  • Explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
  • Build trust with clients through clarity and confidence
  • Act as the bridge between business and engineering

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and level up the development team
  • Improve code quality, processes, and accountability
  • Run code reviews, technical reviews, and architecture discussions
  • Build a culture of ownership, speed, and continuous improvement

5. AI & Innovation

  • Drive adoption of AI tools across development workflows (Cursor, Copilot, ChatGPT, automation tools, etc.)
  • Explore how AI agents can improve:
    • Development speed
    • Internal processes
    • Client solutions
  • Push the team to think beyond traditional development

6. Product & Problem Thinking

  • Ask “why are we building this?” before “how do we build it?”
  • Understand client business models and goals
  • Propose better, smarter solutions, not just execute tasks
  • Contribute to new service offerings (AI, SEO, automation, platforms)

What We’re Looking For

Core Skills

  • 5+ years in software development (frontend, backend, or full-stack)
  • Strong experience with modern web stacks (React, Next.js, APIs, CMS)
  • Experience leading or mentoring developers
  • Solid understanding of system architecture and scalability
